We want to help Germans, who are already living or are temporary in the United States and need legal advice with respect to obtaining the U.S. citizenship and simultaneously retaining their German citizenship .
Under German law it is now possible to retain your German citizenship even though you are acquiring another citizenship. However, in order to take advantage of this relatively new possibility you must petition to the German government before you obtain the foreign, for instance the U.S. citizenship. Furthermore, it can be difficult to secure assets although you are the legal heir if they are located in a foreign country and you have not been visiting that country for a number of years.
